1. Remove all of the brain cards from the deck then deal 5 cards to each player face down.

Once this has been done the dealer randomly inserts the brain cards back into the deck and reshuffles, placing the deck on the table. This is the “live pile”

2. All players now pick up their cards.

Any zombie body parts (head, body, legs) are placed face up on the table so everyone can see.

Other cards remain hidden in your hand - including the brain card (if you have one)!

3. The player to the left of the dealer starts by placing 1 of card (either a body part or one of their other hidden cards) next to the “live pile”.

If you lose a card/cards during play, pick up another straight away so that you always have 5 cards in your hand.

If a brain denied card is played (this can be done by anyone - it doesn’t have to be their turn) then you lose your brain card - place it in the dead pile and pick a new card to make your 5.

When all of the cards have been drawn from the live pool, shuffle the dead pool and place face down as the new live pool. Play continues...
